New Love...

Norah has always been an amazing eater. There are only a couple of things she will not eat. One being tomatoes which she tries over and over but just does not like them raw. The other is oatmeal. We found out that her dislike for oatmeal comes from her birth mother Sarah. Sarah does not like oatmeal. Norah's favorite food has been jumbo olives stuffed w/ garlic....BUT
As you can see in the pictures Norah's newest love is ramen noodles. The picture above reminded me of  Lady and the Tramp:)

Sickness is Not Fun

Our little Norah has had the GI Flu for the past 8 or 9 days. We think it has passed finally...Hooray
It started last Saturday with her coming up at 630am telling her daddy that she threw up but she tried to clean it up. I guess she was so grown up about the whole thing. I had just left out the door for work. Luckily the throwing up only happened 3 times that day then many days of diarrhea.
Ryan got to spend two days taking care of her while I was working the weekend. Being the good daddy he is he was on board with no complaining. If you read his blog he will give you a little sad story how he spent 4 out of 5 days caring for her. Well let's set the record start. First two days yes he did take care of her while I was working.  I came home made dinner and spent some time with her during the witching hour then went to bed so I could get up early the next day again. Then Monday I took care of her except two hours while he was working, Tuesday morning he watched her for 3 hours then he was off to work. He played basketball that evening. He stayed home Wednesday with her while I worked. Then the next two days I took care of her while he worked. So I think as you can see it was a fair amount of trading back and forth.
During her sickness looking at her you would not think she was sick. She was playing, eating, drinking and sleeping like normal. We just never knew when  the multiple blows would happen and things had to move to the kitchen floor fast. So 9 days of no real outside entertainment is hard on mommy, daddy and Norah. We just do not have the energy needed to play with a 2 year all day and evening.
We are glad to be sending her back to daycare where she belongs. Playing dress up for hours with her other little friends instead of daddy.:)

Gardner Village

We dressed our little witches up and took them out for an evening of fun!! We headed to a place called Gardner Village where the theme of the holiday is Witches. Mind you these are fun, good and friendly witches!! Some of the costumes were amazing! Lots of sparkle....
The girls had so much fun riding on the ponies, going on a wagon ride, dancing at the castle, going to visit the witches at their home and posing with the other witches who were out for an evening of fun too. I have so many pictures on my camera but I forgot the cord so this is what I had on my phone.
It was a very cool night but the girls ran around so  much they were plenty warm.  The highlight of the evening for the girls was going to the candy store. Auntie Emmy spoiled them with lots of candy.
I wish we had something like this in our town!!!

Utah or Bust

We arose at 330am ready to head to MPS to get on a plane heading out to Utah to see Auntie Emmy, Uncle Dougie, Ellie and Chloe. For two weeks!!! Norah and I made it to our gate check just in time for last call for boarding. Yikes. The transition was fine for check in . We just didn't leave ourselves enough time I guess. Nothing like running through the airport with a 2yr old, two bags and 2 backpacks.:) Norah was in charge of herself and kitty. Blessing was that we were the last to board. So Norah didn't have to spend lots of extra time on the plane and an extra bonus we had a seat between us empty. Mind you the rest of the plane was FULL!!! Norah has always been a rock star traveler. It has been a blessing since she rides a plane two or three times a year with me. We made it with no bumps in the air or on land!!!
